The other thing Maggie does during our class is a 10 minute relaxation segment, which I've also posted below. Whenever you feel stressed, can't get to sleep or feel the strong urge to strangle someone, you can nip off to your room, lie on your bed and get yourself zen. You'll be a nicer person for it! |
The key is stretching!I don't know about you, but I've never been into going to the gym. I tried going to one last year, in the High Street, but it was full of muscly men flexing their assets, and young women with taut flesh. So I stopped going. I didn't much like it anyway. I prefer a game, something I can win, and then I'm prepared to put in some effort. However, as I get older, those opportunities seem fewer and so I feel myself stiffening up. Just getting off the sofa at the end of an evening watching TV I can practically hear myself creaking.
The only thing that helps is my yoga class once a week. I'd like to do a bit every day at home, but don't want to lie on the floor to do it. So I asked my yoga teacher friend, Maggie, if she would put together some stretching routines; 3 mins and 10 mins. Without getting on the floor :) Check them out below.
